The Best Time to Work out

Ever wonder what is the best time to work out? Anyone who comes to me wondering how to lose 20 pounds in a month generally asks me this question at some point or another, so I thought I’d write it down.

Basically, it all boils down to when YOU can work out. Most studies show that there isn’t a huge difference between morning workouts or those in the afternoon/evening. Generally as long as you’re getting the exercise done, you’ll see results.

The most important thing is to pick a time for you. If you’re a morning person, hit the gym in the morning before work or school. If you’re more of an evening or late night owl, go right after work or when the kids have gone to bed.

One more thing to keep in mind is that studies show morning exercisers to be more consistent than those who go in the evening. In fact, they’re about 3 times more consistent!
