Alzheimer’s - a Devastating Disease

The problem with Alzheimer’s disease is that there is no cure for it. A lot of people are experiencing Alzeheimer’s when they grow older. If someone you know or a family member is slowly succumbing to the disease, you might have to prepare yourself that you have a long road ahead. For family members, it can be very stressful. Alzheimer’s disease works in a way by which people forget the things that they usually know. In the end, people who have Alzheimers forget even their family members although they tend to remember events that happened in the past. Other symptoms of alzheimers‘ disease are the following:

  • Inability to keep a conversation on tract.
  • Difficulty keeping track of people’s names and events that used to be remembered well.
  • Irritability
  • Inability to manage finances and other things that would have to do with organization.

Age is related to Alzheimer’s disease. In fact, studies show that one out of eight people who are over 65 years of age become affected with Alzheimer’s disease. Do remember though that people who age normally have memory loss although it is not that severe as compared to Alzheimer’s disease. It would always be best to get a proper diagnosis from the doctor.
